Sacramento – Republican Paul Hegyi, who is seeking the 10th Assembly District nomination, raised nearly four times as much money as his primary opponent, Jack Sieglock, as of June 30.Sieglock lost to Democrat Alyson Huber in 2008.
“I feel great about how the campaign is coming together,” said Hegyi.“The level of support I am receiving is very encouraging and I think Republicans recognize that I have the best shot of winning in November.
“The current mess in Sacramento could have been prevented if our elected leaders would have the courage to make tough decisions.Unfortunately, Alyson Huber has chosen to leverage the future of our state and push those tough decisions off to future legislators,” continued Hegyi, “I plan to be one of those future legislators and am not afraid to make the choices she refuses to make.”
Hegyi reported raising $61,000 to Sieglock’s $16,400.Hegyi has $57,000 cash-on-hand while Sieglock has just $7,000 more in the bank than debts.
