Sacramento - Senator Dave Cox, the former Assembly Republican Leader, has thrown his support behind GOP 10th Assembly District candidate Paul Hegyi and will serve as one of Hegyi's campaign co-chairman.
"Paul Hegyi will be a tireless public servant and is an outstanding candidate for the 10th district," said Cox. "Paul will be a reformer and understands the need to protect California families and businesses from increased taxes and reckless spending, which is what got us where we are today. Paul is an experienced candidate and knows what it will take to win. Given his years working in the Assembly, he will hit the ground running on his first day."
"I am proud to have Senator Cox co-chairing my campaign," said Hegyi. "As the Senator representing most of the 10th district, he knows the issues we face and I look forward to working with him as a member of the Legislature. He has set a great example of leadership for the region."
Hegyi, currently chief of staff to Assemblyman Van Tran, is running against Democrat Alyson Huber, who, in her first-term, voted for the largest tax increase in California history.
