ELK GROVE VICE MAYOR SOPHIA SCHERMAN ENDORSES HEGYI FOR ASSEMBLY
SACRAMENTO - Sophia Scherman, Vice Mayor of Elk Grove, announced her endorsement of Paul Hegyi for the 10th Assembly District today. "Paul offers the type of leadership our state needs," said Scherman. "He is committed to protecting small businesses, lowering taxes, and reducing the size of government. Paul is exactly the leader we need in Sacramento."
"I have lived and invested in this community," continued Scherman. "Our representatives in Sacramento need to be as invested in our community as we are. Paul has shown that he is committed to our values and ideals; and is dedicated to protecting them in Sacramento."
"I am honored to be endorsed by Sophia," said Hegyi. "She is a pillar of our community, serving in public office, volunteering her time, and having run a small business for 10 years. Sophia is like the many constituents of the 10th Assembly District, and I am committed to representing those values in Sacramento."
Vice Mayor Scherman joins Elk Grove Mayor Pat Hume and local State Senator Dave Cox in supporting Hegyi's bid.
Hegyi, currently chief of staff to Assemblyman Van Tran, is running against Democrat Alyson Huber, who in her first-term voted for the largest tax increase in California history.
