SACRAMENTO - Former Congressman Doug Ose announced his endorsement of Paul Hegyi for the 10th Assembly District.
"Our State is in disarray - growing government bureaucracy, higher taxes, and one fiscal crisis after another. We need leaders like Paul, who are ready to step into the fight to protect Californians from more wasted dollars on government pet projects, reducing the tax burden, and helping Californians keep more of their hard earned dollars," said Ose.
"I am pleased to endorse Paul as the candidate who stands ready to take on these tasks as the representative of the 10th Assembly District," continued Ose.
Ose was first elected to the House of Representatives in 1998 and fulfilled his promise of only serving 3 terms in office, leaving in 2005 to return to his private life as a successful businessman and developer. He is known as a proven tax fighter and strong advocate of government reform.
Hegyi currently serves as chief of staff to Assemblyman Van Tran. He is a long-time Sacramento resident and is supported by State Senator Dave Cox, Elk Grove Mayor Pat Hume, and Elk Grove Vice Mayor Sophia Scherman. He is running against Democrat Alyson Huber who in her first-term voted for the largest tax increase in California history.
