Sacramento, California - State Senator Mark Wyland, Vice Chairman of the Senate Business, Professions and Economic Development Committee and the Labor and Industrial Relations Committee, announced his endorsement of Paul Hegyi for the 10th Assembly District today.
"Paul is an incredibly talented leader and knows how to find areas of common interest to get the job done," said Wyland, a successful small businessman before being elected to the State Assembly in 2000.
"Paul will be a strong advocate for small businesses and will be an excellent member of the State Assembly, committed to bringing necessary reform to Sacramento."
Hegyi served as a member of Wyland's staff in the State Assembly and they worked closely to try and improve California's business environment.
Hegyi currently serves as chief of staff to Assemblyman Van Tran. He is a long-time Sacramento resident and is supported by State Senator Dave Cox and Elk Grove Vice Mayor Sophia Scherman. He is running against Democrat Alyson Huber who in her first-term voted for the largest tax increase in California history.
