Sacramento - Assemblywoman Audra Strickland announced her support for Republican Paul Hegyi for the 10th Assembly District today.
"I support Paul because he will fight to cut the needless and wasteful spending that exists in the state budget," said Strickland. "Paul's knowledge and experience gained from his work in the Assembly make him uniquely qualified to enact the changes that so many candidates only speak of."
"Assemblywoman Strickland has been a consistent advocate of small government and responsible spending. She has never wavered in her commitment to a sound fiscal policy, I am proud to have her support," said Hegyi.
Audra Strickland was elected to the State Assembly in 2004. She represents the communities of Acton, Agua Dulce, Camarillo, Canoga Park, Castaic, Chatsworth, Fillmore, Los Angeles, Moorpark, Newbury Park, Oak View, Ojai, Piru, Santa Paula, Simi Valley, Somis, Thousand Oaks, and West Hills. Audra is married to State Senator Tony Strickland.
Hegyi currently serves as chief of staff to Assemblyman Van Tran. He is a long-time Sacramento resident and is supported by State Senator Dave Cox, Elk Grove Mayor Pat Hume, and Elk Grove Vice-Mayor Sophia Scherman. He is running against Democrat Alyson Huber who in her first-term voted for the largest tax increase in California history.
